Anyone have a good vacuum?  My vacuum never picks up everything .  I haven’t had it for too long, so it should do better than it does.  I tried changing the filters and cleaning out the hose, but that didn’t really make a difference.  I also bought a little stick vac which is worthless.  I’ve heard the Dysons are great but they cost a ton, so I’m reluctant to buy one without knowing if it really works how it says it does.  Anyone have any ideas?

I have an 8 month old girl who has decided not to eat baby food. At 5 months she starting eating cereal with no problem then went on to vegetables. However, by 7 months she began to reject all baby food and anything else I tried to feed her on a spoon. She would shake her head and scream whenever I tried. I thought maybe she just wanted to feed herself, so I gave the spoon to her, but she wasn’t coordinated enough to get the food to her mouth. I even let her use her fingers, but she wasn’t interested in the baby food by 8 months. So now she eats table food, about 2 months early by most standards. She likes mac and cheese and bread, and I do my best to get all the fruits and veggies in her that I can. Also, she refuses to sit in her high chair, she sits in a booster seat just like big brothers, and she rips off every bib I put on her. I think she’s going to be a tough one.

As a breastfeeding mom, I’ve become pretty accustomed to breastfeeding in public.  I don’t think there’s a problem with it.  If a mom wants to pull out the boob and feed her kid, she should feel as comfortable doing that as a parent pulling out a bottle.  I tend to try to be discrete, especially somewhere like a restaurant or Church, using a cover or blanket so as not to expose myself, but that’s definately not required.  So, why is it that people are still so uncomfortable with breastfeeding in public?  WIth all the research of the benefits to both mother and child, I would think this would be a welcome sight to see.  Instead, still, many breastfeeding mothers are glared at and made to feel like they are not welcome.  Many feel the need to hide what they do instead of celebrate this special bond of mother and child.  How sad for us.

I took my kids to the zoo a few nights ago. They offer nighttime activities on Friday nights for kids. they had jump houses for toddlers and inflatable slides of different sizes. We didn’t get to see oll the animals, but many animals we out enjoying dinner, so we got to seee them. It was great to visit the zoo after the sun went down.

I have two kids, 19 months apart. My older is recovering from a broken leg and isn’t walking well right now. He often needs me to pick him up, or at the very least, hold his hands to help him walk, which is really slow. I needed an easy way to hold my baby while helping my son.
