My son is 2 years and a couple of months. This means potty training, so we bought a little potty seat. I know with boys it’s usually closer to 3 than 2, but I thought we’d have it around just in case. He showed interest in sitting on the seat with his clothes on at first, then off. He liked the ‘potty video’ I got, especially the songs. He wants to be a big boy. The next day, he asked to sit on it, with nothing happening, then again the next day. This time he peed in it. The chair played music and he got a jelly bean. He put the PP in the big potty and got to flush, very exciting. We called daddy to tell him and did a cheer. He likes to do it so far for the reward and excitement, but I think the novelty may wear off soon. I am very aware that this will take quite a while.
